President of the First Philippine Republic

Emilio Aguinaldo was born on March 22, 1869 in Cavite Viejo popularly known today as Kawit, Cavite, to Carlos Aguinaldo and Trinidad Famy.
At the age of 26, Aguinaldo became Cavite Viejo's first capitan municipal.
Emilio Aguinaldo married Hilaria Del Rosario in 1896. Their children were Miguel, Carmen, Emilio Jr., Maria, and Cristina. After his wife's death in 1930, Aguinaldo married Maria Agoncillo.
He was elected as President of the First Philippine Republic during the Tejeros Convention held in Tejeros, Cavite at the age of 29.
Aguinaldo was brought to the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Quezon City where he died on February 6, 1964 at the age of 95 due to coronary thrombosis. He was buried at his home in Kawit, Cavite.
